Background Information

Our biggest challenge early was to establish our firm as a source for the wide variety of engineering services needed in our geographic area. These services include civil engineering, surveying, GIS mapping, construction materials testing and geo-technical engineering. The staff required to provide these services must be uniquely qualified. For the first few years, a few people had to wear many hats. We now have an incredibly talented and experienced staff that constantly seeks new ways to improve the services that we provide.

The key to our growth has been our ability to provide quality engineering services to our clients utilizing the latest technology available to improve the quality of life in the communities that we serve.

In order to continue to grow, our firm must maintain our efforts to provide quality services to our clients, while constantly pursuing new technology that enables us to remain on the “cutting edge” of our industry.

H. Les Dungan, PE, PLS and Jeff J. Dungan, PE, PLS founded Dungan Engineering, P.A. in 1993. The two brothers received their education in the City of Columbia School System and Mississippi State University where they both earned degrees in Civil Engineering.

James Lee Mock, PE, PLS joined the firm in 1994 and currently serves as its Vice President. Mr. Mock is a native of York, Alabama and earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and a degree in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University.

The home office of Dungan Engineering, P.A. is located at 1574 Highway 98 East, Columbia, Mississippi, 39429, with a support services office in Picayune, Mississippi.

Dungan Engineering, P.A. currently serves as County Engineer for five (5) South Mississippi Counties: Marion, Walthall, Lawrence, Jefferson Davis, and Pearl River, but also provides and has provided professional services to:

MDOT,
NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center
Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks,
Mississippi Bureau of Buildings, Grounds and Real Property Management,
Ducks Unlimited,
